Big is the word: whether it be in big cuff bracelets, embedded with big, chunky stones. Very thick, multi-strand necklaces, gold chains, lots of crystals, lots of black stones (LOVE ‘EM), and big, fat hoop earrings, will make for, one-two punch-- knock-out, style, an aqua master watch or perhaps even techno master watches.
Get ready for a lot of coral this year. And, you won’t be able to miss the unusual colors, such as pinks and yellow. Handmade jewelry is a stand out, especially beaded pieces in chocolate, champagne, or wonderful shades of smoky quartz.
Oh, and did we mention unusual materials? Try snake skin. Did we mention feathers, buckles, bright, fun, plastics, rope, and braided textiles?
Look for inspiration among African tribal adornments. Twists of leather, chunks of almost anything with an interesting shape, color or texture will hang from fashionable necks like clothes on a clothesline. if you are looking for a cool gold chain or maybe American leather stuff or maybe even a gold franco chain then this may help. I really like American leather, designer lighting, custom furniture, leathercraft and that kind of stuff but I would have to say that the American leather sofas are my favorite.
Shoes will be adorned in the same spirit. Look for strappy slave-girl shoes in both high heels and low, festooned with the aforementioned feathers, leaves, beads and buckles.
This is the year for big, bold, no-holds barred, no-punches-pulled, unabashed fun! Not to get to philosophical here, but women are coming into their own like never before. They are powerful like never before, and the fashions this year are reflecting their new, not-your-mother’s cut-loose élan.
