An accident twhich occurred on Interstate 5 prior to 2:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes in the vicinity of the freeway exit Northeast 50th street turned deadly for the driver and passenger.
According to State Patrol investigators the Sport utility vehicle, a Chevrolet Blazer was believed to be speeding at the time of the crash when it drove off the roadway, struck two light poles and the Seventh Avenue Northeast overpass. All in all, the driver in question was able to exit the car following the said collision and was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he died a few hours later, sadly enouph. His identity has not been released other than he was a 31 year old Seattle resident.
